The Path to 21,000 Steps to Success
How a Team Hike Changes Your Energy, and How Your Clients Will Notice
It was a remarkable thing. After our team building hike today, it seemed everyone I ran into noticed I was different, commenting on a fresh, positive, and energized presence. It wasn't a new haircut or a new suit. It was the undeniable result of taking time to recalibrate with nature and colleagues, strengthening the best part of me. Now, imagine how your clients will feel when they are greeted with that same authentic, recharged energy.
In the relentless, 24/7 world of real estate, we often glorify the hustle. We talk about leads, technology, and closings, but we forget the most critical asset in our business: ourselves. Success isn't just built on market knowledge and client lists; it's built on a foundation of a clear mind, a healthy body, and a recharged soul. We must take care of these things first, before everything else.
That was the driving force behind our first team hike-building event, the beginning of a new tradition: The Path to 21,000 Steps to Success.
This Tuesday, agents and leadership from Century 21 Leading Edge and Century 21 Atria stepped away from their desks and stepped onto the beautiful trails of the Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga. We were joined by our valued partners from Kormans LLP and Pineapple Financial, who also believe in a holistic approach to success.
Surrounded by the stunning 150-acre landscape of woodlands and meadows along the Credit River, we didn't talk about contracts or commissions. We talked, we laughed, and we connected. Together, we took the first 8,000 steps of our journey, bonding as a team and reminding ourselves of the world outside the daily grind. It was a powerful moment to reflect, recharge, and connect with both nature and each other.
A Journey in Three Parts
This hike was just the beginning. "The Path to 21,000 Steps to Success" is a three-part journey we will take together throughout the year.
- Hike 1: 8,000 Steps (Completed!)
- Hike 2: 16,000 Steps
- Hike 3: 21,000 Steps
The final goal is no accident. It’s a nod to our brand, a symbol of the peak we are all striving to reach, not just in our business, but in our personal well-being. This initiative will grow, bringing more of our community together to reinforce the simple truth that personal growth is the engine for professional success.

Taking the time to invest in ourselves isn't a day off. It's a day on—a day focused on sharpening our minds, renewing our energy, and building the resilience needed to serve our clients at the highest level. We look forward to taking the next steps on this path with all of you.
